Folder Field The Folder Field is used to enter the folder this is to be encrypted. All files and sub-directories of within this folder will be encrypted.

2Password Field

Your password should be something easy to remember, without this your files can not be decrypted and rendered unusable. A password should contain at least 8 characters for maximum security and include both letters and numbers. Passwords ARE case sensitive.

3Password Verifier Field

Password Verifier Field The Password Verifier Field is used to ensure the entered Password is what you intended. You should enter the EXACT same value as the Password Field.

4Securely Delete Original File Check

This option is checked by default, and ensures the original unencrypted file is in no way recoverable. For maximum protection this should remain checked, although it does slow down the speed at which files can be encrypted.

5Browse button

6Deletion Passes Field

Deletion Passes Field The Deletion Passes Field controls the number of times the unencrypted files are overwritten during the secure deletion process. This option is only enabled if the Securely Delete Original File check is set. The Default value is 3 passes which provides a good balance between speed and protection. As the number of Deletion Passes rises, the speed at which files can be encrypted will suffer.

OK Button The OK Button verifies the entered information is valid, and once verified begins the process of encrypting all the files contained within the selected folder.

8Cancel Button
