Protect a Folder Dialog Box

The Protect a Folder dialog box is accessed using the Protect Button on the <<LockOnDemand Manager>> main window. This dialog box allows you to configure a location to be protected by LockOnDemand.

1Name Field

Name Field The Name field is a place to enter an easy to identify association with a protected directory. This can be anything you decide it to be any can contain any character up to a length of 50.

2Path Field

Path Field The Path Field is the folder location that is to be protected and managed by LockOnDemand

3Password Field

Password Field The Password Field contains the password used to gain access to a protected folder. The Password should be something your can remember, without it you will not have any way to access a protected folder. The password is case sensitive. For the best level of security your password should contain both letters and numbers and contain at least 8 characters.

4Password Verifier Field

Password Verifier Field The Password Verifier field is a safety measure used to ensure the entered password in the Password field is the inteneded password. You will not be allow to continue until both the Password Field and the Password Verifier Field match exactly.

5Advanced Button

Advanced Button The Advanced Button display the <<Advanced Settings>> dialog box. The Advanced settings dialog box allows the user to configure advanced features of a protected folder such as Auto Prompting for a password, encryption of locked folders, and Auto-Locking of a protected folder.

6Browse Button

Browse Button The Browse button display a standard Browse for Folder dialog box that allows easy selection of the folder to be selected.

7OK Button

OK Button The OK Button verifies the entered information is valid, and once verified protects the folder and puts it under the control of LockOnDemand.

8Cancel Button

Cancel Button The Cancel button dismisses the Protect a Folder dialog box without making any changes to the system.
